Below is a list of museums in the San Diego area, all linked to their direct job boards. We are huge advocates of equitable opportunities in this field and have decided to include some tips and tricks to help you find a job that is equitable in the area:
- Check that the salary is included in the job description. We are doing are best to encourage museums in San Diego to do this, as it fosters transparent communication between employee and potential employer.
- Look for salary that is equal to or more than $16/hourly. We live in a city that is very expensive, and we hope that our museums can get on board with this minimum hourly rate.
- Visit the museum if you can. Go check it out! Sometimes what seems like a good fit may not be. We advise that you go check out the space and talk to the employees there (casually). Get a real feel for the space.
We understand that you may not have the luxury to follow the steps as suggested above.
