Check for salary transparency
Listings that include a salary range help foster open and fair communication between applicants and employers. We actively encourage museums to lead with transparency.
Aim for fair compensation
We recommend applying to roles that pay at least $16/hour, a baseline that reflects the high cost of living in San Diego. You deserve to be paid fairly for your work.
Visit in person, if possible
If you’re able, visit the museum before applying. Explore the space and casually chat with staff. This can give you a better sense of the environment and whether it's the right fit for you.
