How do museums preserve history, interpret objects and experiences, and connect visitors with the people and stories behind them? ️️
Join San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals for a special evening at the U.S. Navy SEAL Museum San Diego.
We’ll explore the museum while considering the work behind preserving history, interpreting collections, and transforming stories and objects into meaningful experiences for visitors.
Designed for emerging museum professionals, students, creatives, cultural workers, and anyone curious about the work happening across San Diego’s museum community, the evening offers an opportunity to discover a unique cultural institution while meeting others working in and around the field.
Come curious, make a new connection, and experience another corner of San Diego’s cultural landscape with SDEMP.
Navy SEAL Museum San Diego is located at 1001 Kettner Blvd. in Downtown San Diego, directly across from Santa Fe Depot.
Public Transit: We highly encourage transit! The museum is adjacent to the America Plaza Trolley Station, served by the Blue, Green, and Orange Lines, and just across from Santa Fe Depot, which is also served by the COASTER.
Parking: Metered street parking and several paid public garages/lots are available nearby. The museum recommends allowing an extra 10–15 minutes to park and walk to the entrance.
Tip: With both the trolley and COASTER steps away, transit is one of the easiest options for getting to the event.
