The job market for roles in and adjacent to museums can be difficult to break into – we know that firsthand! That’s why SDEMP is excited to host office hours as an opportunity to build connections in the industry, refresh your resume and application strategies, and learn new tips and tricks to move forward as a museum professional. Bring your resumes, cover letters, job search tools, and questions – the board of SDEMP and fellow SDEMP members will work together in a casual setting to share knowledge and build confidence.

WHERE WE’LL BE

The Mingei International Museum is located in Balboa Park in the Plaza de Panama, at 1439 El Prado, San Diego, 92101. We’ll meet in La Atayala Theater, accessible by elevator.

PARKING

The nearest parking lot to the Mingei is the Alcazar Lot, accessible from El Prado. There are a variety of free parking spaces throughout the park, but can fill up quickly – give yourself plenty of time to park if you choose to drive. Biking, rideshare, and public transportation are great options, too!

This event meets ADA standards, including an accessible entrance.  Theater is accessible by elevator. There are accessible, gender neutral restrooms throughout the museum. All ages are welcome to attend!
