Sep 30: Behind the Scenes: Sustainability at The Nat

September 30 | 5:30 – 7 PM | San Diego Natural History Museum

San Diego EMP’s 2019 theme is the year of “Big I.D.E.A.S!” This encompasses Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Sustainability. EMP’s September program focuses on the “S.” As many local organizations work to “go green” for environmental and economic reasons, learn about how the San Diego Natural History Museum (The Nat) is working to “go even greener” with their current operations.

Join Rubi Baricuatro, Manager at the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership Sustainability Program, and Michael Field, Director of Experience Design at The Nat, as they guide you through a unique behind-the-scenes tour that will shed some “energy efficient light” on the important work of sustainability in museums!

August 29: Craft & Conversation: Imposter Syndrome

August 29 | 6 – 7:30 PM | Public House La Jolla

If you’ve ever doubted your accomplishments or felt like you’re a fraud who doesn’t deserve your success… you’re not alone. Impostor Syndrome affects many of us and most people have felt it at least once in their career or personal lives.

San Diego EMP’s next installment of Craft + Conversation will be an open discussion about Impostor Syndrome in a safe space.

Join us at The Public House in La Jolla as we discuss our personal experiences, how to spot the symptoms of Impostor Syndrome, and review experts’ advice on how we can overcome it.

This Craft + Conversation is free to attend and has a suggested donation of $10. Your donation helps support San Diego EMP’s mission of providing professional development programs for local museum professionals.
