Join San Diego EMP for a happy hour at Thorn Street Brewery in North Park! Drink, eat, and mingle with fellow San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals.

Biersal will be the food truck of the day, with food and drinks available to purchase. Please consider a small donation with your RSVP to help us fund upcoming free to low-cost programming.

2019: The Year of Big I.D.E.A.S.!

San Diego Emerging Museum Professionals is proud to announce our 2019 theme: “Big I.D.E.A.S.”

As an acronym, IDEAS stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Sustainability.

These words are concepts, both concrete and abstract, that we encounter daily in the museum communities and beyond. While they have always been important to San Diego EMP and our programming, we’re excited to take a deep-dive into them with you this year!

What does inclusion mean to you? Diversity and equity? Accessibility and sustainability?

We plan to keep these ideas in the forefront as we invite you to join us for twelve carefully-crafted programs this year. From craft and conversations to hands-on workshops to helpful professional development panels… stay tuned for what is to come!

Thanksgiving is coming and we’re thankful for you – our EMP community!

Join us at Panama 66 for food, drinks, live music, and good company. Come unwind with your fellow museum workers and goers before the busy holiday season.
