With growing concerns from the public regarding transmission of COVID-19 the San Diego EMP Board felt it was important to let you know that we are staying informed about the precautionary measures being recommended by the San Diego County Health Office and the California Department of Public Health.
As of Thursday, March 12, 2020, Governor Newsome put a ban on all public events of 250 people or more. For public events that are much smaller, the administration recommends that there be a capacity to allow for 6 feet of space between individuals during the event.
With these precautions in mind San Diego EMP has made the decision to postpone our 2nd Annual CAM Mini-Conference. We will continue staying up-to-date should there be any changes to this state-wide ban.
Below are some helpful measures you can use to reduce the health risk of contracting COVID-19 in the meantime.
*Stay home if you are sick or not feeling well.
*Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, including after touching doorknobs, using the restroom, before you eat, etc.
*Limit touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
*Cough and sneeze into your elbow or into a disposable tissue.
*Distance yourself from those who are coughing or sick.
*Practice alternative greetings without handshakes or hugs.
